Meepo Mini 2 VS Boosted Mini x

As an avid skateboarder, I was intrigued when I heard about the new Meepo Mini 2 electric skateboard. It has some impressive specs for a board its size, and the price is very competitive.

But how does it compare to the Boosted Mini x, one of the most popular electric skateboards on the market? In this article, I will give a detailed comparison of these two boards, based on my own personal experience riding them. Spoiler alert: the Meepo Mini 2 comes out on top. Read on to find out why.

How Fast Does the Meepo Mini 2 Go?

Meepo Mini

The Meepo mini 2 can reach speeds of up to 28 miles per hour, making it one of the fastest electric skateboards on the market. It is also equipped with two powerful hub motors that provide a strong torque, making it easy to maneuver and climb hills.

In addition, the Meepo mini 2 has a long range of 20 miles, making it perfect for commuting or exploring new areas.

How Fast Is Mini X Boosted Board?

The Boosted Mini X is designed for speed and range, with a top speed of 20 mph and a range of up to 14 miles. It’s also great for hill climbing, with a belt drive that can handle slopes up to 20% grade.

And its three ride modes are specifically tuned to the Boosted Mini, so you can get the most out of your ride. Whether you’re commuting to work or hitting the open road, the Boosted Mini X is the perfect way to get where you’re going fast.

Can I ride Meepo or Mini X Boosted Board in the Rain?

It is best to avoid riding your Meepo or Mini X boosted board in the rain, as it can be dangerous and also damage your board. Wet, slippery, and dirty roads are not ideal for riding, and riding in the rain or snow can also lead to damage.

A Detailed Comparison

Deck

When it comes to deck material, the Boosted Mini X features a deep dish composite deck, while the Meepo Mini 2 has eight layers of true Canadian maple. Maple is a traditional choice for skateboards because it is strong and durable, but the composite deck of the Mini X is less likely to chip or dent. However, some riders prefer the feel of natural wood under their feet.

Trucks

The Boosted mini x has newly designed forged trucks that are made from higher-grade aluminum. This makes the board more durable and able to withstand the rigors of daily use. The Meepo mini 2, on the other hand, has Shredder trucks that are designed for carving and freestyle riding. While they’re not as durable as the Boosted mini x, they offer a smoother ride.

Wheels

The Boosted Mini X comes equipped with Boosted Lunar 80mm wheels. These wheels are designed for a smooth ride, and they certainly deliver. The Meepo Mini 2, on the other hand, has 90 mm x 60 mm 78A wheels. These larger wheels offer better stability and traction, but they can be more difficult to maneuver.

In terms of speed, the Boosted Mini X is definitely the winner. Its smaller wheels,is able to reach higher speeds with less effort. The Meepo Mini 2 can reach similar speeds, but it takes more work to get there.

Braking System

The Boosted Mini X features regenerative brakes that help to restore some of the battery power as you ride. This means that you can go further on a single charge, and it also makes the brakes more reliable. The Mini X can come to a smooth stop from any speed, making it a great choice for beginner and experienced riders alike.

The Meepo Mini 2 also features regenerative brakes, but they are not as effective as those on the Mini X. However, they can still help you to extend the range of your ride and make it easier to control your speed on steep hills.

Weight Limit

he Boosted Mini X can support riders up to 250 pounds, while the Meepo Mini 2 has a weight limit of 330 pounds. As a result, the Mini 2 is better suited for heavier riders or those who plan on carrying gear with them on their board.

In terms of weight, the Mini 2 also has a slight advantage, coming in at 16 pounds compared to the 16.8-pound weight of the Mini X. So, if you’re looking for an electric skateboard that can support a higher weight limit and is slightly lighter in weight, the Meepo Mini 2 is the better option.

Performance

When it comes to performance, the Meepo Mini 2 is the better option. It has a higher top speed and range, making it more suitable for commuting or longer rides. Additionally, the Meepo Mini 2 has a more powerful motor, which makes it better suited for climbing hills or riding on rough terrain.

Price

When it comes to price, the Meepo Mini 2 is significantly more affordable than the Boosted Mini X. The standard Mini 2 retails for $429, while the Extended Range variant costs $629. In contrast, the Boosted Mini X has a retail price of $999. So, the Meepo Mini 2 is definitely an affordable option.

Remote

The Boosted Mini X comes with an ergonomic remote control that is Bluetooth enabled, while the Meepo Mini 2 comes with a basic M4S remote.

In My Openinon

I want to include further a little bit about Meepo Mini 2 as a conclusion, The Meepo Mini 2 is an incredible board that is perfect for experienced riders. It has nice concave that really locks your feet in, and the kicktail is amazing for manuals and pivoting. The 6.0 esc is a great upgrade that comes with a nice remote and “hidden speed mode”.With this mode, I can hit 29 mph on flat ground, which is a significant improvement over the advertised 25 mph speed. Thanks Meepo.
