Are Carver Skateboards Worth it?

If you’re in the market for a new skateboard, you may be wondering if Carver skateboards are worth the investment. The short answer is: yes! Carver skateboards are known for their high-quality construction and attention to detail. Plus, they’re designed to offer a smooth ride and superior performance.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, you’ll appreciate the features that Carver skateboards have to offer. So if you’re looking for a top-of-the-line skateboard, Carver is definitely worth checking out!

Truck

If you’re in the market for a truck, you might be wondering which one is right for you. There are a lot of factors to consider, from payload capacity to fuel efficiency. And then there’s the question of which brand to choose.

I’ve owned both the C7 and CX models, and hands-down, the CX is superior in every way. It’s more comfortable to drive, gets better gas mileage, and can haul more cargo. So if you’re looking for a truck that can do it all, the CX is a perfect choice.

Deck

Deck shape is everything when it comes to surf skates. A shorter deck will make the ride feel looser, while a longer deck will provide more stability. Carver does an excellent job with their decks, creating a shape that is both stylish and functional.

Their grip tape is also top-notch, providing just the right amount of traction without being too abrasive. However, I do wish I had gone with a longer deck. At 29.25″, it feels a bit too short for my 6′ frames. Additionally, the 15.5″ wheelbase makes it difficult to get any real speed going.

Overall, the Carver is a great surf skate but it would be even better if it came in a longer size.

Wheels

Wheels are one of the most important parts of a skateboard, and choosing the right set can make all the difference in your riding experience. With so many options on the market, it can be hard to know where to start.

However, if you’re looking for a versatile set of wheels that can handle a variety of skating conditions, the Carver 69mm 78a Roundhouse Concave Smoke wheels are a great option. These wheels are wide enough to cruise over cracks and pebbles, but they’re also hard enough to withstand big drops and fast speeds.

Plus, they come in a cool smoke color that will make your board stand out from the rest. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, these wheels will give you the smooth ride you’re looking for.

Bearings

Carver skateboards come with some pretty nifty bearings. One neat thing about them is that the spacers and speed washers are built-in, which I appreciate from an assembly standpoint.

I don’t know if it affects performance, but it’s definitely a time-saver. Plus, I don’t have to worry about the washers and spacers flying out when I take them out, which is always a plus. All in all, I’m quite impressed with the Carver bearings.

FAQs

Are Carver boards worth it?

If you’re like most people, the thought of buying a new skateboard might bring up visions of teenage angst and rebelliousness. But if you’re a bit older and wiser, you might be wondering if investing in a Carver board is worth it. After all, they’re not cheap.

So what do you get for your money? Carver boards are designed for carving, which means they’re great for making tight turns and riding around corners. They’re also more stable at high speeds than other types of skateboards, making them ideal for downhill racing.

In addition, the special trucks and wheels provide a smoother ride and better grip than traditional skateboards. So if you’re looking for a board that’s built for performance, then a Carver is definitely worth the investment.

Which Carver surfskate is best for beginners?

The perfect first step into the world of surf skating is a Carver CX and Slide skate truck. These beginner-friendly trucks provide great stability for beginners by giving you control over your movements as well as stability when learning how to stand up on them properly.

Why is Triton Carver cheaper?

Triton Carvers are made in America with American steel and wood. The price difference comes from cheaper labor costs, which can be attributed to them being produced overseas instead of the official workshop located on US soil where all products get warranty service as well!

Can you do an ollie on a Carver?

A Carver skateboard is a special kind of board that is designed for doing radical turns and tricks. Many people believe that you can’t do an ollie on a Carver, but that’s not true! With the right technique, you can get some air on a Carver.

The key is to use your front foot to apply pressure to the tail of the board while you pop the nose up with your back foot. It takes a bit of practice to get the timing down, but once you do, you’ll be able to show off your mad skateboarding skills on any kind of board.
