Do Skateboards Come in Different Sizes?

Skateboarding is a great activity for people of all ages and sizes. However, it’s important to choose the right skateboard for your height. Here’s a quick guide: if you’re 4ft 6in or shorter, you should go with a 7.25” to 7.75” board;

 If you’re 4ft 6 in to 5ft 6in, you should go with a 7.75” to 8.00” board; and if you’re 5ft 6in or taller, you should go with an 8.00” to 8.50” board. With the right skateboard, you’ll be flying down the street in no time!

How do you know what size skateboard to get?

Deciding on a skateboard deck can be approached in a few different ways: by shape, size, and functionality. Many beginners skateboarding will ask themselves, “What size skateboard deck should I get?” We believe that it all starts with finding the right size for your feet.

 Skateboard decks come in a variety of widths, measuring anywhere from 7.5 to 8.5 inches wide. While there is no definitive answer, we recommend starting with a skateboard deck width that is proportional to your shoe size.

 Examine your shoe size. If you wear men’s sizes 6 to 9, we recommend starting with a deck width between 7 .5 and 8 inches wide for optimal performance! Or, if you wear shoes 9.5 or larger, we recommend getting a deck between 8.0 and 8.5 inches wide. Once you have your perfect fit, the fun part begins – personalizing your deck with cool graphics and unique colors!

What is the normal skateboard size?

Skateboards come in many different sizes, but there is such a thing as an average skateboard size. The length of a skateboard can be measured from its nose to tail, and the average size is 28”- 32”.

The width of a skateboard deck is typically between 7.5” and 8.25”, and this measurement is influenced by the skater’s foot size and riding style. So, if you’re wondering what the normal skateboard size is, now you know!

What is the difference between skateboard sizes?

When it comes to skateboards, size does matter. The width of the deck can have a big impact on how the board feels and rides. Here’s a quick guide to help you choose the right size deck for your skating style:

7.50″ to 8.00″: This is a medium width deck that’s perfect for teen or adult riders skating street terrain or doing more technical tricks.

8.00″ to 8.50″: This is a great width for various street and transition terrain, like parks, pools, rails, and stairs.

8.50″ and up: Wider decks are ideal for transition skating, bigger street tricks, skating pools, or just cruising around.
