How Tall is Skateboard

Skateboards come in a variety of sizes, but most are around seven to eight inches wide and 31 to 32 inches long. The average deck is also around four or five inches thick. This makes them easy to carry around and store, but still big enough to provide a stable ride. Some skateboards are even wider or longer, while others are shorter or thinner. It all depends on what you’re looking for in a board.

Does height matter for skateboards?

The answer is no, height does not matter for skateboards. Most skateboards are designed to be the same size, regardless of height. This is because the height of the deck has no bearing on the performance of the board. It’s all about the width, length, and thickness of the deck. So, if you’re looking for a new skateboard, don’t worry about the height. Just choose the size that looks right for you.

What Size Skateboard Do I Need

There are many things to consider when deciding what size skateboard you need. These include your riding style and terrain, as well as body height or weight for the shoes that will be used with it!

The size of your board is an important factor in determining how well it fits. There are many different sizes, so let’s break them down by type:

There’s no one-size-fits-all when you’re picking out a new deck or wheels for yourself!

7.5″ – 8″ wide: For beginners or those with smaller feet.

8.0″ – 8.25″ wide: For intermediate skaters with average-sized feet.

8.25″ – 8.5″ wide: For advanced skaters with larger feet or those who like to do flip tricks.

8.5″ – 8.75″ wide: For professionals with very large feet or those who like to do extremely technical tricks.

9.0″ and wider: For those who ride longboards, old-school boards, or cruisers.

If you are still unsure about what size skateboard to get, you can always ask a salesperson at your local skate shop. They will be able to help you find the right size and style of skateboard for your needs.

Height and Weight

5’0″ – 5’3″: 8.0″ – 8.25″ wide.

5’4″ – 5’7″: 8.25″ – 8.5″ wide.

5’8″ and over: 8.5″ – 9.0″ wide.

Here’s a list of skateboard sizes by weight that can help you find the perfect board for your needs.

Under 120 pounds: 7.5″ – 8.0″ wide.

120 – 150 pounds: 8.0″ – 8.25″ wide.

150 – 180 pounds: 8.25″ – 8.5″ wide.

180 pounds and over: 8.5″ – 9.0″ wide.

Skateboarding Style

The different kinds of skating styles for skateboards include transition, which is when you ride vert or parks. Then there’s street-style where tricks will be done and finally freestyle (or freestyle). For a more stable experience with the wider surface area under your feet, it’s best to use larger decks in transitions; however smaller ones may work well if doing flips etc., on roads rather than concrete surfaces!
