In recent years, the popularity of skateboarding has increased, leading to a change in the minds of those in power. This has resulted in the construction of high-quality skateparks across the state of Utah. There are now around sixty skateparks, ranging from modern street plazas to traditional bowls. 

However, not all of these skateparks are up to standard. We have therefore rounded up the best skateparks in Utah for your convenience. With these skateparks, you can be sure to have an enjoyable and safe experience.Here are some of the best skateparks in Utah.

Sandy Skatepark

Sandy Skatepark is a 7,000 square foot custom concrete park that features over 24 skating obstacles and drop-ins from ground level to over 7 ½ feet. The skatepark is designed for skaters of all abilities, with easy-to-use features and avenues for more experienced skaters. The custom colored concrete surface is perfect for practicing tricks and perfecting your skating skills. 

The light is available for night skating, so skaters can enjoy the park even when the sun goes down. There are also a variety of amenities available, including a bowl an outdoor seating area. The skatepark is a great place to practice tricks, socialize with other skaters, and get some exercise.

Location: 10140 S 700 E, Sandy, UT 84070.

Hours: 6am – 10:30pm.

Kanab Skatepark

Kanab skate park is a great place to enjoy some skating. There are plenty of scooters and bikes around, but that just leaves most of the obstacles available for skating.The concrete park features a bowl and a back and forth area with built-in street elements. You can also find an asphalt pumptrack around the skate park. It is lighted, so you can enjoy skating even at night. 

There are also quarter pipes, funboxes, manual pads, and ledges for skaters to enjoy. There is even a wallride and a bowl for those who want to try something different. Grinds and slides are just some of the things you can do here. The staff is also friendly and helpful, so you’re sure to have a great time.

Park City Skatepark

Park City Skatepark is a 20,000 sq. ft. concrete skatepark that offers rails, ledges, boxes,beginner bowl/half pipe and a bowl section. The deepest bowl is 9.5 ft crowned with pool coping. Admission to the skatepark is free.

It is a street course skatepark that is open to boarders and in-line skaters. The skatepark offers a variety of options for both beginner and expert. The skatepark is also open to BMX riders. It is free to the public and is open year-round.It is a great place to come and improve your skating skills or just have some fun.

Hours: Open 24 hours.

North Ogden Skatepark

Located in North Ogden, Utah, the North Ogden Skatepark is a concrete park that features an open bowl and street area. The park offers a variety of obstacles and challenges for skaters of all levels, including a roll-in, a jump box, a quarterpipe, and a funbox.

It also has a manualpad, a londongap, and a handrail. The gap and the flatrail provide skaters with an opportunity to practice their tricks and improve their skills. 

The bank and the stairs offer a challenge for more experienced skaters. The mini ramp is perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics of skateboarding.

Unity Park Skatepark

The beautiful Unity Park Skatepark was designed by Spohn Ranch. It is 8,000 square feet and has everything that skateboarders could want, including a flow bowl, ledges, rails, hubbas, euro gaps, stairs, quarter pipes, bank to ledge, and a pole jam. 

The skatepark is well-lit and offers a safe environment for skateboarders of all skill levels.Whether you are a beginner or an experienced skater, the Unity Park Skatepark is sure to provide you with hours of fun.

Hours: 6am – 8pm.

Copperview Skatepark

Copperview Recreation Center Park is a 12.5 acre park located in Midvale, Utah.It also includes a corner, quarterpipe, manualpad, handrail, flatrail, ledge, bank, stairs, and more. It is a great place for skateboarders of all skill levels to practice their tricks and improve their skills. 

This concrete park has a bowl and street area. The street course may be small, but it is still really fun. The bowl is awesome, and the layout is ok. The playground and sports field are open from dawn to dusk. It would be nice to have more shaded areas to relax in, and overall the skatepark is a great place to skate.

Monticello Skatepark

Monticello features a variety of obstacles, including cement boxes, metal ledges, and coping. Rails of different sizes and shapes provide skateboarders with plenty of options for grind tricks. In addition, the park features a great cement half pipe. Skateboarders can use the half pipe to perform a variety of tricks, including airs, ollies, and manuals. This Skatepark is a great place to improve your skating skills or simply enjoy a day on your board.

Hours: 7am – 9pm.

Vans Pro Skatepark

The vans pro skate park comes with a variety of obstacles and challenges for skateboarders of all skill levels, making it the perfect place to hone your skills or just enjoy a day of skating. The park is also home to a number of events and competitions, including the annual Vans Skatepark Series. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time skater, the vans pro skate park is sure to provide an enjoyable and challenging experience.

Oakley Skatepark 

Oakley Skatepark is a 10,549 square-foot concrete skatepark that features a bowl, obstacles, and a roll-in area. The bowl is the centerpiece of the skatepark, and it features 8-10 foot walls. In the middle of the bowl is an L-shaped plateau with coping on the flat-top and a rounded hump on the remaining 2/3. There is also a 6 stair set with a small transition at the bottom, a handrail + 2 other rails on the main platform, and a couple jibs for slides and grinds. 

The skatepark is unsupervised and does not have an admission fee. The riders must be sure to wear appropriate protection before hitting the concrete. The skatepark also has a rounded hump that is perfect for riding and cruising. Overall, the Oakley Skatepark is a great place to ride and skate.

Herriman Skatepark

The Herriman Skatepark is a concrete park located in Herriman, Utah. The park offers a variety of features for skaters of all levels, including a 25,000 square foot main bowl, a Hubba, a Curb, a Roll-in, a Quarterpipe, a Manualpad, a Londongap, a Handrail, a Ledge, a Bank, stairs, a Wallride, and a MiniRamp. The park also has a Bowl area for beginners. The Herriman Skatepark is open daily from dawn to dusk.

It is a great place for kids to spend their time. However, there is one special-needs teenager that lives in one of the houses behind the park who has severe behavioral problems.

Santa Clara Skatepark

The Santa Clara Skatepark is a great place to enjoy some time outdoors. The park features a skatepark with three rails and a couple ledges, as well as a baseball field and a playground for the young kids. The Skatepark is a great place to practice your skills, or just have some fun. It comoes with  obstacles and challenges for skaters of all skill levels, making it a popular destination for both local and visiting riders.

Location: 1279 N Canyon View Dr, Santa Clara, UT 84765.

Oakley Skatepark

Oakley Skatepark is a 10,549 square foot concrete skatepark that offers bowl skating and street skating. This facility is unsupervised and does not require an admission fee. Skaters are not required to wear safety gear, however it is strongly encouraged. 

The centerpiece of the skatepark is a huge sub-surface bowl with 8-10 foot walls. In the middle of the bowl is an L-shaped plateau with coping on the flat-top and a rounded hump on the remaining 2/3. There is also a 6 stair set with a small transition at the bottom, a handrail + 2 other rails on the main platform, a couple jibs for slides and grinds, and a nice roll-in area.It is a great place for skaters of all levels to enjoy themselves.

Holladay Skatepark

Holladay Skatepark is a 9,000 square-foot outdoor concrete skatepark that is open from dawn to dusk. It is free to the public and offers skateboarding, scooter, skating, and biking opportunities.It is a great new park opened in 2022. The bowl is one of the best in Utah, and offers skaters plenty of opportunities to practice their lines. 

The street section is also great, with plenty of ledges, rails, and other obstacles to skate on. The park does not have lights yet, but hopefully the city will install them soon. Keep in mind that the street section can get a little crowded when it gets busy, so skate at your own risk. However, the park’s great location makes it easy to grab food or drinks from nearby Harmon’s or Tonyburgers. Overall, Holladay Skatepark is a great new addition to the Utah skate scene.

Hours: Sunrise to sunset.

Orem Skatepark

The Orem Skatepark is a .25 acre concrete park that was opened in December 2002. It cost $580,000 to build and has restrooms, a drinking fountain, and parking. There is also a 26 mile loop around the park. It is used by skateboarders, BMX riders, and inline skaters of all ages. It is open from dawn to dusk and is free to use. 

It is a concrete park and comes with skateable obstacles like a spine, hubba, curb, roll-in, corner, quarterpipe, manualpad, londongap, handrail, flatrail, ledge, bank, stairs, wallride, mini ramp, and bowl.  The park has been a great addition to the community and has provided a place for people to enjoy skating.
